The built-in needle threader saves time and reduces eye strain. You simply hook the thread through the mechanism, and it guides the thread through the needle eye for you. This feature is particularly helpful if you frequently change thread colours or work in dim lighting.

The top-loading bobbin system makes it easy to change threads and check them. The horizontal spool pin helps with smooth feeding and tension.

The machine offers 23 to 25 built-in stitches, depending on the source. These include utility stitches for everyday sewing, stretch stitches for knit fabrics, and decorative options for creative projects.

The machine lets you change the stitch width and length. It also has a one-step buttonhole function. This makes perfectly sized buttonholes. You can achieve professional results in making clothes.

The automatic buttonhole function on the 725S creates consistent buttonholes without requiring you to turn your fabric. You place your button in the automatic buttonhole foot, and the machine measures and sews the buttonhole to match that exact size.

The 725S comes with a dedicated buttonhole foot designed specifically for the automatic buttonhole function. This presser foot includes a slot where you place your button to determine the correct buttonhole length.

Additional accessories expand your sewing capabilities beyond basic buttonholes. The zipper foot lets you sew close to zipper teeth or piping without the standard presser foot getting in the way. A blind hem stitch foot helps create nearly invisible hems on trousers and skirts.

The overedge foot is useful for finishing raw fabric edges and preventing fraying. Some models include a quilting guide attachment that helps maintain consistent spacing between parallel stitch lines.

The drop feed facility lowers the feed dogs beneath the needle plate, giving you complete control over fabric movement. This feature is essential for free motion quilting and freehand embroidery techniques.

Use a lever to activate the drop feed. This lets you create custom quilting patterns. You can move the fabric freely. It takes practice to get smooth stitches. You will also need to control speed and direction.

Your 725S includes seven presser feet designed for different sewing tasks. The standard foot (A) handles basic stitching, whilst the zipper foot (E) helps you sew close to zips and piping. For hems, you get the blind hem stitch foot (G) which creates invisible finishes on trousers and skirts.

The machine has two buttonhole options. It includes an automatic buttonhole foot (R) for one-step buttonholes. It also has a clear plastic buttonhole foot (B) for standard buttonhole work. The overedge foot (C) prevents fabric edges from fraying when you don't have an overlocker.

You'll also receive a foot holder to attach these snap-on feet to your machine. The quilting guide helps you maintain even spacing between stitching lines for quilting and topstitching projects.

The 725S package includes four plastic bobbins, which work with the top-loading bobbin system. You receive both large and small spool caps. These help secure different thread spool sizes on the horizontal spool pin. You also get a spare spool pin and spool pin felt.

For maintenance and adjustments, Janome provides a winged screwdriver and lint brush to keep your machine clean. The seam ripper helps you unpick mistakes, whilst the included needles let you start sewing straight away. 

Your machine comes with an instruction book that explains all features and settings, and a hard cover protects the machine when not in use.
