The Bernina 580 Liberty Edition celebrates a unique collaboration between two iconic names in craftsmanship – Bernina and Liberty London. Combining Bernina's renowned sewing and embroidery technology with Liberty's iconic design heritage, this limited edition machine features the beautiful Glen Lyon Blooms print, inspired by one of Liberty's signature floral designs.

The 580 Liberty Edition is made for quilters, garment makers, and embroiderers who want premium performance. It also features an exclusive, collector’s finish. It offers 1,482 stitches, including 32 exclusive Liberty decorative stitches.

It also includes 349 embroidery designs. These feature 99 exclusive Liberty embroidery motifs. They bring Liberty’s timeless style to every project.

Exclusive finishing touches include a coordinating Liberty Glen Lyon Blooms dust cover, while an optional Special Edition Embroidery Module with a silver Liberty logo, together with matching Liberty trolley and embroidery module bag, complete this stunning limited edition collection.

The BSR keeps stitch length even when you move the fabric at varying speeds during free‑motion sewing. It senses the speed of your hands and adjusts the machine timing so stitches remain uniform. This helps you produce smooth quilting lines and cleaner embroidery fills.

BSR offers adjustable stitch lengths for controlled or flowing quilting, supports compatible feet, improves precision topstitching and motifs, reduces speed‑matching effort, and helps prevent uneven stitches and rework.

The knee lifter lets you raise and lower the presser foot without taking your hands off the fabric. It lifts the presser foot higher for quick, hands-free handling of bulky quilts and layers, leaving your hands free to guide the fabric for smoother adjustments, greater accuracy and fewer handling errors.

The knee lifter also helps when basting or setting up appliqué. You can momentarily lift the foot to smooth fabric or add pins, then lower it and continue sewing without stopping to use your hands.

The Bernina Free Hand System automates presser foot lifting for thick seams and pivoting, speeding sewing across varying fabric thicknesses.

BERNINA Dual Feed evenly feeds fabric from top and bottom to prevent shifting and puckering across slippery or layered materials.

Together, FHS and Dual Feed give you stable fabric handling and precise stitch placement. Use them for even feeding on heavy quilts, matched seams on garments, or neat decorative stitches where alignment matters.

The trolley set in liberty fabric includes a wheeled case made in the Glen Lyon Blooms print and matching accessory bags. It fits the BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition and holds the main machine, power lead, foot controller and small tools in labelled pockets.

Interior padding cushions the machine and keeps it upright. External pockets store hoops, threads and manuals so you can grab what you need without opening the main case.

A matching zippered bag and rolling handles keep an embroidery kit organised and easy to transport.

The Embroidery Module M (SDT) attaches under the machine for hooped work. It gives you a stable carriage for medium-sized hoops and aligns with the 580’s embroidery functions. When not attached, the module has a shaped cover and fits into the matching embroidery module bag.

The embroidery module bag is padded to protect the delicate electronics and the USB/connection ports. Adjustable shoulder straps and internal dividers keep hoops and stabilisers separate. You can lock zips or use a clip to secure the module during travel.
