Pfaff Creative Icon 3 Sewing & Embroidery Machine

The Creative Icon 3 combines a large work area, a 10.1-inch touch screen, and extensive sewing and embroidery tools. You get more than 870 stitches, over 920 built-in embroidery designs, and a maximum embroidery speed of 1,000 stitches per minute.

You have 12.1 inches (310 mm) of space from the needle to the machine tower. This room helps when you sew quilts, coats, bags, and other large projects. The 10.1-inch screen gives you a large view for selecting stitches, editing embroidery, and checking placement.

The machine includes advanced stitch positioning, side motion sewing, stitch tapering, and stitch sequencing. You can create or edit 9 mm stitches with Stitch Creator.

A fabric selection feature adjusts settings for the fabric, technique, and stitch you choose. The machine also has automatic thread tension and automatic feed-dog drop. It includes a straight-stitch needle plate sensor to help prevent the wrong setting.

You can choose from more than 920 built-in embroidery designs and over 870 sewing stitches. The stitch selection includes utility stitches, decorative stitches, quilting stitches, and buttonhole options for clothing and home projects.

Sensormatic and manual buttonhole feet enable one-step or controlled buttonholes, with stitch editing to customise stitch settings.

For embroidery, the machine trims jump stitches automatically. Its hoop scanning and Exact Position tools help you line up designs with seams, printed fabric, or earlier stitching.

You can edit stitches, manage layered fabrics, and set up quilting work from the machine screen. Features such as fabric selection, projected guidance, and automatic settings support more controlled sewing.

The enhanced STITCH CREATOR™ lets you build new 9 mm stitches or change built-in stitch patterns. You can adjust decorative stitches to fit a border, garment detail, or home décor project. Do not rely only on preset designs.

The machine supports stitch sequencing, so you can arrange selected stitches in a chosen order. 

Tapering changes the width of compatible stitches at the beginning or end of a seam. You can use it to form pointed ends on satin-style decorative stitching, such as leaf shapes, borders, and quilting accents.

PFAFF’s Original IDT™ System with Sensor feeds the top and bottom layers together. This integrated dual feed helps reduce shifting when you sew slippery fabric, matching stripes, layered patchwork, or long seams.

You can use IDT-compatible presser feet, including the standard 0A foot, fancy stitch foot, blindhem foot, zipper foot, and ¼-inch quilting foot. The ¼-inch foot supports consistent seam allowances for piecing, while the Bi-Level Guide Foot can help you sew near raised edges and seams.

The Fabric Selection feature lets you choose the fabric type before sewing. The machine adjusts its settings and features automatically. It helps you switch smoothly between regular sewing, straight stitching, and free-motion work.

The creative icon™ 3 features free-arm embroidery, allowing you to embroider tubular or partially finished items without needing to unpick seams or flatten the entire project. This makes it easier to personalise items such as baby clothing, shirts, tote bags, pockets, pillowcases, cuffs, sleeves and trouser legs. By positioning projects around the machine's free arm, you can achieve more convenient placement on narrow or awkward items, while ensuring the fabric is properly stabilised and that seams, zips and bulky layers do not interfere with the embroidery process.
